A sensitive matter
It is the responsibility of our assemblers to join the two meticulously crafted scissor blades to make a pair of scissors that is defined by cutting accuracy and smooth operation.
The halves are placed on top of each other by hand, and those same hands insert the bearing bushing and the screw, to carefully tighten them; making sure that it is not too tight and not too loose. We usually use a screw bearing made of glass fibre reinforced polyamide that has been developed in-house, and which is simultaneously both flexible and sturdy. In order to ensure that the steel screw does not suffer wear, its surface is hardened. If you should desire scissor assembly with your own custom screw connection, we will be happy to accommodate you.
After joining the blades, the scissor is “pointed”, for final accurate alignment. Great sensitivity is required for the assembly: this is the moment when the scissor comes to life.
